if you’ve been having problems entering calendar events on your iphone and not having them show up on iCal after sync, or sometimes even disappearing, try this:
* I noticed a weird tendency for the iphone to try to add new entries into a read only calendars (subscribed calendars, birthday calendars) during a sync, as those calendars cannot be modified, iphone entries won’t show on ical.
this is how i fixed it:
I want iPhone calendar to show all my iCal events too, but to make it work you gotta follow those steps,
1. make sure you keep a record of all your iphone entries as they will be removed.
2. in ituens select sync with selected calendars, un-select all read only / birthday calendars.
3. Sync your iphone,
4. go to Ical and drag all read only/birthday calendars to the top. (having them by the bottom will keep the problem)
5. choose that iphone entries sync with the bottom calendar on your iCal list.
6. you can enable all Calendar sync in itunes of like,
7. try to enter something on your iphone and sync, it should work,
so as long as you have your read only calendars on top of the list in iCal and the iphone entries are syncing with the most bottom Calendar on iCal. you should be OK until apple fixes this bug.
